A recent announcement was made from the publishing company, Bonnier Zaffre, that Bear Grylls has reached agreement to publish a series of fiction titles and activity books for children readers between the ages of 5 to 12.

Currently, from what I’ve gathered, it seems there will be quite a few series of books to come:

Autumn 2016:
– “World Adventurer”
– “Extreme Planet”
– activity books

– A series of ‘epic adventure’ books
– A series of ‘survival skill handbooks’
– A fiction series for 5-7 year-olds
– A non-fiction series titled “Survival School Through the Ages”

Mark Smith, c.e.o. of Bonnier Zaffre, said: “We are all thrilled to be in partnership with Bear and it’s a fantastic opportunity to bring Bear to a wider and younger audience, who can grow up sharing the passion and enjoyment of experiencing the world through his adventures. This global publishing programme will allow us to draw on the expertise across the Bonnier Publishing group in the UK and we eagerly look forward to the first books publishing later this year.”

This is definitely exciting news after the release of Bear’s first novel, Ghost Flight, last April. We know to expect a sequel to that novel in the future, but in the mean time, there should be some fun books for kids to look forward to in the near future to hold us over. 🙂

Bear has been involved in a young readers series before called, “Mission Survival.” I have not had the pleasure of reading those books, but there will be more to add to your kids or young relatives bookshelves soon enough!
